Great Shelford Football Club was formed in 1912 and has been playing at Woollards Lane since 1920.
Not much success was seen until the 1950's when the club won its first trophy, the Fosters Cup. The Creake Shield followed in 1963 and the Premier League Cup in 1967.
But it was the 1970's that saw the club become the most successful in the history of the Cambridgeshire Football Association. After 1975 the club won 12 league titles in 15 years. The greatest achievement was to win the Cambridgeshire Invitation Cup no less than three times, a feat not achieved by any other Kershaw League club. We entered the FA Vase in the late 1980's and reached the third round.
